Artist Brett Oliver works from her home studio in Fort Worth, Texas. As a mostly self-taught artist, she has loved to create and had a passion for art since she can remember. 

“God put so much beauty into this world that I find inspiration for my work everywhere. I love trying something new! In the abstract form, the viewer can fill in the magnificence of what He created for us to enjoy.”

 Brett gravitates toward abstract art, yet enjoys the challenge of realism. The processes she uses vary based upon the desired outcome. She loves to layer, remove, and build up again so that her works reveal new colors and images as they progress. Brett works mostly in acrylic and pastel, but there’s a good chance that these will be mixed with some gold leaf, resin, pigment sticks or another medium.

 “I feel blessed to have been given this gift and want to share it with others, whether that be through social media enjoyment, providing affordable art, or helping guide and encourage others in their own art exploration. My husband, wonderful mother-in-law, friends and family have been so supportive in this journey and I wouldn’t be able to do what I love if it wasn’t for their help!”, Brett shared.

 Her early years were spent in San Angelo, Texas, before moving onto Texas A&M to focus on BioMedical Science and a sales career. Brett circled back to painting years later to help fill the walls in their family home. Slowly this evolved into more paintings for family and friends organically growing into where it is today.

 When not in the studio painting, Brett can be found playing with family and friends. She loves Jesus, the outdoors, a good workout, travel, live music, a glass of wine, and of course ART.
